What I Didn’t Like:
- There are no real concrete plans here to build a network. It’s an idea and it’s things that have worked for one incredibly personable extrovert, but it’s nothing really concrete.
- This is coded as a business book that will coach you on building a network. Really, it would be better coded as a memoir.
- Cliches. A lot of the ideas or advice in this one were cliche things you’d heard before. I’m not sure how much of this one you can consider original advice.
What I Did Like:
- The audiobook is narrated by Chip himself and features sections read by his family members!
- The book has an overall positive feel. You feel empowered to get out and make your dreams happen.
- Chip’s personality comes through in this book. If you’re a fan of Chip Gaines, there’s something to be said for enjoying this memoir even if you aren’t interested in networking. He comes across as authentic, fun, and friendly right from the first page.
Who Should Read This One:
- Fans of Chip’s will enjoy reading stories from his past and family.
