5 Blessings in my Life (in no particular order):
- Family
- I was blessed to be born into an amazing family. We are all close (in hearts although not in distance). We have a huge network of cousins, second cousins, Aunts, Uncles, etc.
- I was also lucky enough to marry into an amazing family that truly sees me as one of their own.
- My only sister also married into a wonderful family. My luck holds up because even these people see me and my kids as family.
- Seriously, I’m ridiculously lucky.
- Husband
- Okay, technically, he’s also family. But he deserves his own mention. I’m not an easy person to live with. I’m (as you already know) a perfectionist. I hold myself to a ridiculously high standard. I also bottle up emotions, rather than deal with them. This guy is the only person I know who can truly handle it when that bottle gets too full and shatters all over the place. He’s awesome.
- Talented Kids
- My son is a good defenseman (hockey), he’s pretty good at chess, Math problems are no challenge for him, he likes puzzles, and he has great coloring skills. He’s also unbelievable at communication, he likes big words, and he will remember almost anything he hears. My husband and I are awed by his talents most days. He’s independent and intelligent.
- My daughter is quickly becoming quite the little gymnast, she’s a talented dancer, she loves to sing, she likes reading, and she draws well. She also has a knack for storytelling, can lift things that are too heavy for most kids, and can compliment you in a way that makes you feel like a million dollars. She is wonderfully caring and creative.
- Talented
- I hate talking about me like this, but I am aware I was blessed with talents.
- I’m good with a budget, I’m focused, I’m a decent writer, I play the flute pretty well, and I read very quickly.
- Health
- It feels weird to put this one on here this month, because I’m scheduled for (noninvasive) surgery in a few weeks. But I’ve been blessed with good health and I know it. I’m in my mid-thirties and I’ve never had surgery before. In fact, other than having my children I’ve never even been admitted to a hospital. I’m very lucky.
