July 2022 Reading Stats

8 Books

2813 Pages

90 Pages per day (WAY below the unofficial goal I like to be at)

SIDE NOTE

I don’t have official reading per day/month goals. I have a year long goal (104 books) which breaks down to 2 per week. Sometimes I’m ahead. Sometimes I’m behind. Also, in a perfect world I’d read about 100 pages a day (preference) but sometimes life gets in the way. So when I reference my silent goals or my unofficial goals … I probably mean these.

GENRE

One of these months I should do a challenge where I intentionally read only one genre. Just kidding, that would be torture. As I’ve said before, I like my variety!

AGE RANGE

This is, apparently, where I don’t have much variety. Maybe I really should have a month where I challenge myself to read only Childrens or middle grade books. Can you imagine how many of those I could polish off in a month?

WHERE DID I GET MY BOOKS?

Here’s that graph showing the format I get all those from. As you can see, there were a lot of borrowed ones this time around. Mostly this was library although one did come up on the book wheel that was borrowed from my sister.

Let’s check in on that unspoken indie rule (ideally, I’d be at or above 50% independently published books but my backlist is still FULL of traditionally published books that I’ve missed over the years and am trying to catch up on)

4 Star Worth Reading if you like this Genre:

That’s July! In case you’re curious how I’m fairing on that 104 book goal, I was at 69 books read and reviewed when July ended. If I’d been keeping to my 2-a-week goal, I would’ve been at 60 (I think) so I was in a good place. Now we just see if August can keep up!
