Tempe FanCon 2024 Lessons

Tempe FanCon, hosted by the Tempe Public Library here in Arizona, is one of my favorite events to participate in year after year. It was one of the first events to accept me with open arms when my first books were available and I have thoroughly enjoyed going back to watch it grow and blossom each year. 2024’s event was the biggest and best turn out I’ve seen yet!

As always, thanks to EVERYONE who stopped by the booth to chat with me! I love meeting all of you. Remember, if you decided to pass on the books now but want the same pricing (plus shipping because I can’t help you there) email me tabatha@tabathashipleybooks.com, remind me that we chatted, and tell me what you’re looking for. I’ll email you an invoice honoring that price. While supplies last, obviously.

  1. I need to write more thrillers. I know, I know. Everyone LOVED the vibes for How to Schedule a Death (me too) and you all want more like that. Noted.
  2. More faeries. This has been a constant cry since 30 Days Without Wings came out. I hear you, I’m just not sure I’m the person to write it! We shall see.
  3. I’m going to run out of room at Fan Fusion when the table is smaller. Thanks to the shopper who has visited me at both events for noticing that! I’ll look into more options for shelving at Fan Fusion because you’re totally right!
  4. I need to revive my YouTube channel. So many of you are interested in my process and tips for writing your own books. My old videos are absolutely in that vein, but I let the channel sleep during COVID and never came back to it! In the meantime, here’s that link … but I’ll put it on the notes that it’s something people who like to see revived. https://www.youtube.com/tabathashipley
  5. I will ALWAYS support local libraries and events like this. Thank you to the Tempe Public Library for hosting this one. See you next year!
