August Wrap Up

August 2020 has come and gone. The official wrapup video just dropped over on the YouTube channel. Let’s dive into some behind-the-scenes information, shall we?

  • We’ve been filming videos ahead of time to give the editor more time to get them edited. It’s been nice and relaxing filming them early and not having to worry. BBBUUUTTT that meant this one got filmed on August 23rd. Which meant I still had days in the month left. The information was all accurate for the time. But the real numbers below may be a tiny bit different.

22792 words written.

  • Highest writing day was the 12th when I wrote 2,548 words.
  • Overall, 7 days were above 1500 words and an additional 4 days were above 1000.
  • I averaged an abysmal 700 and something words per day in August.

Because I cannot resist analyzing this stuff.

Genre Count

I feel like 2020 has really pushed me into a FORCED reading schedule with the shields and such. So this isn’t really a reflection of what I was in the mood for. But it’s pretty typical for me anyway.

Star Ratings

No 1 star books, GREAT! It’s pretty funny that this is a mirror image of itself. I’m sure that says something … but I’m too tired to figure out what it says right now.

33% of what I read this month was independently published.

I’m glad that’s up from last month but it’s still a bit low for me. I think I figured it out, the low numbers are a reflection of audiobooks. So indie authors, don’t forget you can let me know if you have audiobooks available!

I finished my 2020 reading goal in AUGUST. I mean, who cares what else happened … that’s a WIN.

Check out the rest of the 2020 goals and how I’m looking overall.
