Poetry Challenge, May

You might remember that I challenged myself to get back into writing more poetry in 2025 by writing one poem per month. You also may remember that I have previously mentioned being worried I was going to run out of month if I kept procrastinating. You may be thinking I REALLY waited this month. But … I swear I didn’t! This poem has been done for a few WEEKS. I just had to find the time to sit down and post it. HONEST!

In previous months, I’ve mentioned using prompts to inspire me. This month, that wasn’t necessary. I wrote a poem when thinking about the benefit to short stories or what those short stories can offer you. Really what happened was I overheard a few people at the bookstore (day job) arguing about whether short stories were GOOD or not.

My take it that they’re not inherently GOOD or BAD. They’re just different.

Anyway, here’s a poem that explains that a little.

That’s the poem for May. See you again next month!
